98 point - James Suckling: "A giant dry riesling with a haunting wild flower aroma. Fabulous harmony, the spectacular concentration barely shows over the water level, but it gives this a gracefulness that’s very hard to resist. Enormously long, polished and precise finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification."

92 point - Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2018er Kupfergrube GG Schlossböckelheim, as it is referred to on the front label (and with a round sticker “Reserve aus der Schatzkammer”), was bottled in 2019 and was first released in September 2023. It offers a delicately ripe yet also fresh and complex nose of aniseed herbs, yellow peach, orange blossom, jasmine, smoke, and almond. The wine has great presence on the palate, with a delicately creamy touch wrapped into spices and candied citrusy zest. The finish has all the freshness needed and proves focused and superbly long. This is a great success in the 2018 vintage."

95 point - Vinous: "The 2018 Riesling Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube Grosses Gewächs is the first wine that Gut Hermannsberg started to release late. The first vintage released late was 2015, with a few wines still released ealier. Two thousand seventeen was the first vintage that enjoyed release after five years. The nose opens with a herbal richness that reminds me of dried, crushed yarrow, hay flowers and chamomile, still with floral aspect that has immense charm. The palate is as austere as the steep rocky slope would suggest, intense, profound, stony and salty. A waxy textural element has been added. The citric element is ethereal and lifted now. The acidity is as clear-cut as ever. Incisive, concentrated, fine and with immense yet calibrated power. The 2018 shows such length."

Smagen er mere tør og slank, end duften antyder. Pink grape, gule æbler, passionsfrugt, mineraler, ja, vi kunne blive ved. Den lange lagring med bærmen har givet lag-på-lag til vinen, som i glasset hele tiden viser sig fra nye sider. "Spannung" (red, spænding/elektricitet) kalder winemaker Karsten Peter det. -Og den sitrende og elektriske fornemmelse fornemmer man virkelig i denne helt fantastiske Riesling.

Vinmager Karsten Peter er i 2022-udgaven af VINUM Weinguide Deutchland blevet kåret til "Winzer des Jahres".
