Lignier ejer halvdelen af denne fine 1. Cru, der støder op til Grand Cru Clos de la Roche. Vinstokkene er 50 år gamle, og giver her en vin, der er ærketypen på en 1. Cru fra den nordlige ende af Morey Saint Denis. Farven er klar og glansfuld Bourgogne-rød. Smagen er fyldig og silkeagtig og med et væld af intense sorte bær. Eftersmagen er silkeagtig intens og lang. Klassisk og elegant Bourgogne på et højt niveau.

95 point - James Suckling: "Deep and concentrated, with a stunning interplay of red-berry and cherry flavors and complex tannins, this great red Burgundy is cool and tightly wound, with a fascinating herbal thread running through it. Only just beginning to open up, it has terrific aging potential. Very long, sleek finish. This producer owns half the site, and most of these vines are on stony limestone soil. Matured in small oak barrels of which just 20% were new. Drink or hold."

16,5 point (16,5/20) - Jancis Robinson: " Cask sample. Now this has some juice and drive. Plus a little edge and density compared with the village wines, so it could probably be drunk earlier and have a longer lifespan."
