94 point - James Suckling: "This excellent 2021 red Burgundy has quite a powerful tannic structure for the challenging  vintage and is still youthful as a result. The crisp acidity is well integrated. With a little aeration, a very positive spicy complexity develops. Long, sophisticated, moderately dry finish. This will really gain with a few more years of bottle age. Drink or hold."

94 point - Christy Canterbury, TimAtkin.com: This gamey, meaty, intense Pinot comes from a large holding of 1.49 hectares. There is good sinew and muscle here with wound-up structural intensity. Blood orange, blackberry and forest freshness permeate the palate. Benoît Stehly says that in another six months, the fruit character will start to open up even more here."

Georges Lignier er med 1,49 hektar største ejer i denne uforlignelige Grand Cru, der som det er skik i Bourgogne har lagt "efternavn" til kommunen Morey. Marken ligger højere, og det blæser ifølge Benoit Stehly mere her end i nabo Grand Cru'en Clos de la Roche. Så vinen fra Clos Saint Denis er mere delikat og har større finesse og større mineralitet i den intense og koncentrerede smag.
