Straks når du hælder vinen op i glasset, viser den sine kvaliteter. Den har intens rubinrød farve og en rig bouquet af røde og sorte bær, som suppleres af krydderier, mokka og mineralske noter.
Den komplekse, tætte og koncentrerede smag afslører fine taniner, og er fløjlsblød fra første slurk. Vinen afslutter med friskhed i den meget vedholdende eftersmag.

92 point - Robertparker.com: "Poured from a heavy glass bottle, the 2020 Tenuta Casenuove is mostly Merlot with about 20% Sangiovese. From a hot and sunny vintage, the wine shows rich concentration and warm notes of autumnal leaf, baked plum and black cherry. It sits heavy on the palate, spreading far and wide. The wine's weight and soft tannins give this wine a very accessible side but also set it up for a pairing with more elaborate barbecued meats."
