Man kan sagtens smage Alex’ stærke passion for hvid Bourgogne i glasset. Farven er brilliant gul med en lille frisk grønt skær i kanten. På næsen får du blandt andet lime og mandarin. Syren er forfriskende og afrundet og du mødes bl.a. af hvid fersken og slutter af med en forbløffende lang og kompleks eftersmag, der ender livfuldt og mineralsk.

94 point - Wineanorak: "12% alcohol. Lovely aromatics here: fruit-focused with pear, pineapple and citrus, showing nice restraint. The palate has lovely delicacy with ripe but fresh pear fruit as well as some lemon and a subtle twist of almond and hazelnut. Such finesse here: pure and well balanced."

92 point - Winemag.Co.Za: "Grapes from Polkadraai Hills and Helderberg. Fermented and matured in a combination of foudre and neutral 228- and 300-litre barrels. Floral perfume, citrus and peach on the nose while the palate is pure and fresh with a dry finish. Nicely balanced, this has more concentration than its alcohol of 12% might suggest."

92 point - Tim Atkin: "Given his association with Burgundy, it's no surprise that Alex Dale is such a devotee of good Chardonnay. Soft and fairly approachable, in the style of a Mâcon Villages white, this has peach, pear and nectarine flavours, a dab of oak spice and a grapefruit pith finish."
