Stains the palate with sweet boysenberry, candied plum and violet pastille flavors that are underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Delivers a suave blend of power and finesse and shows no rough edges. Closes on a smoky note, with steadily building tannins, a touch of bitter cherry and impressive tenacity."

Vinstokkene med perfekt sydvendt eksponering på La Rochelle er med en alder på mere end 85 år blandt de allerældste på Château du Moulin à Vent. De er udsat for stress på det særlige terroir, som er rigt på silica og tynd, sandholdig granit – helt uden indslag af ler. Det resulterer i et endnu lavere udbytte end på de øvrige parceller. La Rochelle byder derfor på et højt, forfriskende syreindhold og de mest elegante tanniner. Vinen er mættet af koncentreret frugt og har et markant indslag af krydderier og grafit. Finishen er decideret mundvandsfremkaldende! Her går renhed, elegance, finesse og mineralitet hånd i hånd.
