94+ point, RobertParker.com: "A sensational Cornas that readers shouldn't miss is the 2013 Cornas Le Vallon de l'Aigle (which translates to "The Valley of the Eagle"); it comes from a single, south-facing parcel of old vines and is only made in top vintages. Its inky purple color is followed by a sensational perfume of graphite, crushed rocks/wet granite, game-like meats and ample dark fruits. This gives way to a medium to full-bodied red that has an incredible, mouth-filling texture, no hard edges, fine tannin and a great finish. I hate to admit that this is the first time I've tasted this wine, but it's one serious Cornas that's up with the crème de la crème of the vintage!"

93 point, Vinous.com: "Dark purple. Powerful smoke- and mineral-accented aromas of dark berries, cherry liqueur and vanilla, along with a suggestion of olive in the background. Smooth, broad and sweet on the palate, offering concentrated blackberry and violet pastille flavors and a jolt of smoky minerality on the back half. Shows quite impressive energy and focus for its heft. Finishes velvety and extremely long, displaying excellent focus, harmonious tannins and lingering spiciness."

Le Vallon de l’Aigle (ørnedalen) er det fremmeste udtryk for Jean-Luc Colombo’s formåen i Cornas. Vinen laves kun i usædvanlige år fra enkeltmarken med den højeste beliggenhed, med 40° hældning og et areal på kun 0,3 hektar. Vinstokkene er mere end 70 år gamle, og udbyttet er ekstremt lavt med blot 3 klaser pr. vinstok. Vinen er koncentreret og robust, men alligevel elegant med et bombardement af aromaer: Mørke frugter, lakrids, urter (garrigue), nelliker, violer og masser af mineralitet. Finishen er nærmest uendelig.
