94 point - James Halliday: "Released very soon after the '17, the vintage difference is noticeable: this '18 has more dark fruits than crimson, the influence of 40% new oak (both French and American), yet is more intricately woven through the palate, adding structure while still allowing those dark, spicy flavours to stick. Director's Cut Shiraz er lavet på maksimalt modne druer fra Langhorne Creek og Limestone Coast i South Australia. Vinen er lagret 14 måneder på 100% nye fade af fransk og amerikansk eg. Duften er en eksplosion af fedmefuld bærfrugt, mokka, vanille, kokos og mørk chokolade, og smagen er blød som fløjl og kolossal fyldig. En fin, moden tannin understøtter det hele, og gør vinens helhedsindtryk afbalanceret og harmonisk. Et brag af en Shiraz!
