93 point, Wine Spectator: "This well-cut and balanced white is classic Alsace Gewürztraminer, offering aromatic lychee, face cream, rose petal and candied grapefruit peel notes, with a rich, zesty underpinning of spicy mineral and a firm frame of acidity. Drink now through 2030." 

93 point, Vinous.com: "Deep, very bright golden-yellow. Magnificent nose of nutmeg, cumin, cloves, smoked bacon and grapefruit. Rich and juicy on entry, then a little softer; spicy orange jam and ripe tropical fruit flavors persist nicely on the long, bright, tropical-fruit-rich finish (23.6 g/L residual sugar). Very showy Gewürz but not at all weighty or over the top. Josmeyer’s Hengst Gewürz is all declassified into this wine, and you can tell; this is about as good an entry-level Gewürz as I have had in many years."
