This is a very special wine with a unique set of aromas that beautifully reflect the wild and untamed Scansano area of southern Tuscany. Bramble and Mediterranean herb appear at the outset and give the wine prickly definition and sharpness. Those herbal notes are followed by softer tones of cherry and spice. This is not a banal wine. In fact, it shows a fluid evolution as it warms in the glass. I'd be curious to taste it in five year's time."
